Setbacks and Success

Carried my shoes in this Lulu bag this morning while walking through the snow to my office. Noticed this motivating quotation written on the side: "Success is determined by how you handle setbacks."
We all experience setbacks. That's real life, not a Facebook life.
Sometimes, we are able to face those had issues with a calm, clear head. At other times, our emotions take over uncontrollably. And, that's ok.
Real mental work can transcend hardship. After experiencing misfortune, resilient people are able to change course and move toward achieving their goals.
There is growing evidence that resilience can be cultivated. What are your thoughts and experiences?
