Beneficiaries coast-to-coast across Canada were positively impacted last year when Manulife distributed ~$1.6B CDN on approx. 15,000 life insurance policy claims.
272 of those policies paid sums of $1M CDN or more to their named beneficiaries while the largest payout amount reached $18M CDN. |
These tax-free monies could have brought some life-changing differences to many lives; keeping a widow out of poverty, providing valuable liquidity for a shareholder buyout so the surviving family can get cash for their shares, supporting a favourite charity or perhaps sending an unexpected gift to a worthy beneficiary.
